A team of CMU scholars from CMU's Faculty of Education met with regional school principal to help promote active learning and guide policy. Under the new Education Sandbox Act, local schools will need to conform to new national standards.

On January 5, 2021, the Faculty team consisted of Lecturer Dr. Sunee Ngernyuang, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Education, along with Lecturer Dr. Chinnawat Khaiket, Lecturer Dr. Sira Somnam, Lecturer Prakon Tuisri, and Lecturer Natchachan Rojwattanadisakun met the principal and teachers of Galyani Vadhana Chalermprakiat School, Ban Chan Subdistrict, Galyani Vadhana District, Chiang Mai Province. The Education Sandbox Act is intended to promote student-centered learning methods and approaches in partner schools in the Chiang Mai region.
